Learn about usability testing and how to work with WordPress VIP

We are announcing another two speakers today with talks about the importance of usability testing and a story how Net.hr (one of the biggest websites in Croatia) has moved to WordPress VIP hosting.

Dario Jazbec Hrvatin – Use The Users: Implementation Of Usability Testing Results

Dario is a developer born in Zagreb but later moved to Sentilj, Slovenia where he works as a developer for the OnTheGoSystems – a company behind world–popular plugin WPML. His work for the company consists partly of organizing and managing usability testing for the company’s plugins.

In his talk “Use The Users: Implementation Of Usability Testing Results”, Dario will showcase examples of how our themes and plugins can benefit from performing usability testing. A talk that he promises to give with a lot of visual looks into user feedback is important not only for designers but for developers. This talk will help you get valuable insights into the world of user testing.

Marko Banušić – Net.hr – moving to WordPress VIP

Marko Banušić is head of software development for a Croatian media company Adriatic Media. One of his projects included moving Net.hr (one of the oldest and most popular news portals in Croatia) to WordPress platform and WordPress VIP hosting. Since this is probably the first time a news portal from Croatia decided to do this scale of transformation to open source, it is an interesting story to hear.

In this talk we will talk about our experience with creating a new theme for Net.hr and moving to WordPress VIP hosting. From initial contact to developing a theme, code review and finally the launch. The process has been a learning experience and we grew as developers.
